Remember that Nickelodeon already resurrected this show once. We’d love more Legends of the Hidden Temple any day.īut the truth is, this just proves no one really has a clue how to bring it back properly. It’s a show that’s still as much fun to watch now in reruns as it was when it originally aired in the 1990s, and no doubt that’s what Quibi is banking on, hoping to appeal to the adults who were kids when the original series premiered. Legends had the most unique premise for a game show that’s ever been on TV and executed it incredibly well. The company’s press release described a “new, supersized, reimagined” version geared toward adults, with a set actually in the jungle as opposed to a temple built inside Nickelodeon Studios. This week, Quibi announced that when the streaming service launches in 2020, it’s going to have a Legends of the Hidden Temple reboot. But despite how awesome the show was, this isn’t a revival to get excited about. Legends of the Hidden Temple is coming back again, giving a third life to one of TV’s most unique and most beloved game shows.
Legends of the Hidden Temple is being rebooted by the Quibi streaming service, and this is one TV series that’s better off staying in the past. By Brittany Frederick 2 years ago Follow Tweet
